By Peter Madiya – Reporter
Botswana’s international music export Nomina born Pamela Nothando Bhulu in Maitengwe village, has informed Vibe that she has decided to postpone her Germany trip by a fortnight in order to promote her recently released two singles including a track titled How you could lie. Her hot single Don’t Cry Africa is currently getting ample play on local radio stations and Btv.
Nomina explained that due to the hectic schedule during the festivities, she and her promoter could not manage to work and push her singles well on time.“I was supposed to depart from Botswana on the 18th of January 2018 but I decided to extend my stay by at least two more weeks so that I can promote my two singles. Although I have long finished the singles before Christmas, the tight schedule around the festive season did not give me and my team ample time to make preparations, ”she said. Nomina further said that she was over the moon to be working with his current promoter Gilbert Seagile also known as PP, of Gilbert Promotions. “I was introduced to him by my team and we are working well together,” she said. Nomina continued that for her to start her music career in Germany was by coincident as she visited the European country as an AUPAIR (babysitter) in 2000 only for her to decide to venture into music full time in 2013.
Her move according to her was motivated by the fact that in 2006 whilst based in Germany, she won an audition in musical theatre something which she said was one of the driving factors which motivated her to come out of her cocoon hence she released her first single tittled Don’t cry Africa which went on to receive airplay in Germany radio stations and television. Nomina said that she started singing as a toddler and went on to curve her skills whilst still a student at Mogoditshane and Ledumang Senior secondary school where she would always win V shows before her sojourn to Europe.
